Immaculata’s eight simulation labs help nursing students practice clinical and communication skills and master nursing interventions in a safe environment. You will learn to operate industry-standard equipment, 管理药物, check vital signs and assess patients’ health. You will participate in realistic clinical scenarios with simulation mannequins, including a mother and baby for practicing obstetric and pediatric nursing. You will also interact with live actors serving as standardized patients.

You will gain clinical experiences through clinical rotations that provide hands-on experiences in a variety of nursing specialties including medical-surgical; long-term and hospice care; gerontology; intensive care; pediatrics; maternity care; emergency care; psychiatric care; rehabilitation; community health; and drug and alcohol detoxification.
Immaculata’s faculty teach a holistic approach to nursing practice. The faculty believe that nursing is an art and a science that cares for patients as whole persons—composed of mind, 身体与精神. Immaculata nurses help patients to promote, 恢复和维持他们的健康, 在舒适和尊严中死去.

Staged as a four-car collision with multiple casualties, a simulated accident scene helped Immaculata students practice their life-saving skills during realistic chaos.

The nursing classes are small and the professors are dedicated to each and every student. The clinical rotations help you connect what you are learning in the classroom to real-life scenarios, and they provide great hands-on nursing experience. My class utilized an online tool to prepare for the NCLEX that assigns a coach who monitors your progress and will let you know when you are ready to take the exam. It made taking the NCLEX a little less stressful.
